Transferring from an Australia School
Are you moving into the area?
If your child is transferring from another school to Wonthaggi Primary School, please use the following process:
1. Find My School:
Please check Find My School https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/, the Victorian Government’s website detailing school zone information, to ensure that Wonthaggi Primary School is within the correct zone for your home.
2. School Tour:
You can enrol your child at Wonthaggi Primary School at any time during the year following a School Tour. This is particularly helpful if you are new to the area or are from a Private or Interstate school. We warmly invite prospective families to visit our school, meet our staff, and explore our learning community. Come and see our classrooms in action and learn about our focus on literacy, numeracy, and specialist programs. Please request a tour by phoning the office on (03) 5672 1600.
3. Enrolment Form:
If your child is transferring from a non-government or interstate school, you will need to fill out an enrolment form. If your child is transferring from a government school in Victoria this is not required as this is completed by online student data transfer.
The form, which will be included in an Enrolment Pack at the tour will provide the school with important information about your child, including:
• Evidence of your child’s date of birth
• Your contact, phone and address details, and that of any other parent, guardian and or carer
• Names and contact details of emergency contacts
• Doctor’s and dentist’s names and phone numbers
• Immunisation Status Certificate
• Health and welfare information
